Weekly Update - June 14th

posted Jun 15, 2010 2:46 PM by Amy Myers

Only 39 days until opening night!  Yay!!!

Thanks to all who helped support the fundraiser.  It was a wonderful evening and a good time was had by all!!!

Weekly reminders...

Tonight -  We will be reviewing Act 1 and finishing up the pieces that have not been done yet.  Everyone is expected - but expect downtime (i.e. bring a book) as we will (hopefully) go through every scene and fix the blocking to work with the stage.  :)  Orphans (and boys of New York) should be done 8:30-9ish.

Tuesday -  We will be going over the radio scene with Warbucks, Grace, Annies, Burt Healey, Boylan Sisters, Radio Page, and all other radio personnel.  Everyone (but Healy and the Boylan Sisters) will not need to stay until 10.  If you are not sure if you are in this scene PLEASE ask me :)  Thanks!

Wednesday -  We will go over the orphans Fully Dressed and then add Hannigan, Rooster, and Lilly.  This should be a fun evening!!!  :)

Saturday - The orphans will rehearse from 10-2 and we will be adding the dog into the mix with Annie.  Ms Hannigan - please talk with me about Saturday - as you won't be needed the whole time (more like 12-2?).  Orphans please bring buckets, rags, your lunches, etc.

Announcements...

1.  Soon Anne Harrison (our Costumer Extraordinaire) will be at a rehearsal to discuss costume expectations with each of you.
2.  We are looking for a volunteer to take on the role of helping to collect/organize props.  Any takers?
3.  You can buy a t-shirt at http://shops.cafepress.com/StThomasPlayers
4.  We are looking for help with marketing - from people posting posters to writing press releases to any other promotional contacts you might have - let us know if you can help!

5.  WE WILL BE ON THE STAGE FROM NOW ON - NO FLIP-FLOPS - NO SANDALS - NO BARE FEET ON STAGE - YOU MUST WEAR SHOES!  thanks :)

I am enjoying working with this cast immensely and look forward to seeing you all "on-stage" tonight!
Much love!
Amy

Weekly Update - June 8th

posted Jun 8, 2010 6:49 AM by Amy Myers

Hi everyone!!!!

Just a couple of reminders for this week!

  • Tonight's Rehearsal is for all orphans (7-9pm) and Hannigan, Rooster, and Lily (8-10pm).  We will be in the gym tonight.
  • Wednesday's Rehearsal is for Warbucks, Grace, Annies, and all servants - aka the chorus - :)  (7-10pm)  I would ask that everyone be on time (unless you and I have talked about it) and ready to go at 7, we have an ENORMOUS amount of stuff to go over (and I am hoping to get it all in).  :)
  • If you are an orphan - I need to know if you will be attending the fundraiser this Saturday!!!  I would like to set up a time to rehearse with you.
  • Don't forget about the fundraiser this Saturday!  It is sure to be a fun night!!!!
  • Want a t-shirt to remember how much fun you had this summer?  Check out http://shops.cafepress.com/StThomasPlayers and you can purchase a t-shirt - or a mug - or a bag - or a...  well, you get the idea!

I want to thank everyone for their hard work so far.  I was so happy with how well everyone worked together collaboratively last night to finish the NYC and Hooverville numbers.  I really am very pleased with how things are going.

Thanks again for all your support!!!!
Amy

ANNIE CAST ANNOUNCEMENT!

posted Apr 13, 2010 5:50 PM by Amy Myers

Hi everyone!

Well, I know I said this last year - but WOW!  I am amazed by the incredible talent we have at St. T's!!!  It was a joy to see you perform, and the decisions we made were not easy (it actually has gotten much harder every year)!  We are looking forward to working with all of you this summer.

Now comes the fun part!

·     Look for an email with info on rehearsals and such in the next few weeks.  Rehearsals will begin in late May.

·     Please reply to this email (one per family is fine) to let us know that you have received the cast list.

·     There will be a dinner/meeting for all adults in the show April 24th (details to follow).

·     We will be having a fundraiser dinner in early June (details to follow).

·     Do not hesitate to contact me or Mo with any questions you may have.

·     Please read the whole cast list, your name may be listed more than once.

·     If you do not see your name – LET ME KNOW!!!  Everyone who auditioned has been cast in the show.

·     There are many additional cameo roles in this show (too numerous to mention) that will be assigned throughout the rehearsal process.

·     All orphan roles have been double-cast.  Please see the FAQ's on the website (www.stthomasplayers.com) if you have any questions.

I am looking forward to seeing you all soon!!!!
Congratulations to all!!!
Amy  :)

Save the Date:  June 12th

Come enjoy an evening filled with fun and laughter.  It is a great chance for the St. Thomas's Community to get together for dinner and entertainment to raise money to fund this year's production of Annie!

Remember!  The more money we raise prior to the show - the more money we will be able to donate to charities after the show!

The ad form has been posted on line here.  Please consider supporting the St. Thomas Players!  The money from the ad book will help fund this and future shows.
